CNC lathes are computer-based numerical control systems developed from traditional lathes. The traditional lathe has undergone a qualitative change, marking the beginning of the CNC era. The CNC technology in CNC lathes is a technical method that uses digital signals to control the movement of machine tools and their processing processes.

High-performance equipment must not only ensure advanced technology, but also the configuration of facilities is crucial. CNC lathe accessories mainly include tool holders, operating components, indexing heads, worktables, chucks, joints, chip removal devices, hoses, drag chains, protective covers, etc. Among them, tool holders are divided into cutting tools, tool holders, planers, CNC tools and support systems, tool belts, pull knives, blades, rolling knives, gear tools, machine saw blades, CNC tools, chucks, punches, turning tools, reamers, boring tools, gear shapers, gear shavers, machine blades, tool handles, milling cutters, threading tools, drill bits, tool rods, other tools, fixtures, and taps.

The selection of CNC cutting tools should be based on actual conditions. Currently, to achieve high efficiency, high speed, and automation of CNC machine tools, more emphasis should be placed on the selection of processing tools. At the same time, with the continuous advancement of science and technology, the development of processing tools also shows a trend of standardization, generalization, and modularization.

The tool selection process starts from the 'part drawing' and reaches 'selected tool' to complete the tool selection process, and the entire tool selection process has two different paths:

One path involves the part drawing, influencing factors of the machine tool, selection of the tool holder, clamping system of the blade, and selection of the blade shape. The second path is: influencing factors of the workpiece, selection of workpiece material code, determination of blade chip groove code or ISO chip range code, and selection of processing condition masks. Only by integrating the results of these two routes can the selected tool be determined.
